The 2008 Annual Benefit

The 2008 Annual Roseann's Gift Benefit was held on November 11, 2008 at Strata in Manhattan (915 Broadway at 21st Steet) from 7:00-10:00pm. The event featured special guest speakers Valerie Frankel (author of Thin is the New Happy and The Accidental Virgin) and Paul Jansen (artist and lung cancer survivor). The event also included a silent auction, cocktails, appetizers, and live music.

The 2007 Annual Benefit

The Annual Roseann's Gift Benefit was held on September 18, 2007 at the Manhattan Penthouse in New York City's Greenwich Village. Over 200 guests were treated to a live jazz trio, top shelf cocktails, gourmet food, a silent auction, and remarks by special guest Christy Turlington Burns and key note speaker Dr. Joshua R. Sonett, Chief of Thoracic Surgery at New York-Presbyterian.

The silent auction was MC'ed by special guest auctionista Stacy London of TLC's What Not to Wear and included fabulous prizes such as a ski weekend in Big Sky country, a New York Jets helmet signed by the 1969 Super Bowl Championship team, VIP passes to the 2008 Bonnaroo Music Festival, an Atlantic City restaurant and hotel package, and a tennis racket signed by tennis legend Roger Federer.

The event raised more than $40,000 that will go towards a grant to fund lung cancer research. The inaugural Roseann's Gift Annual Benefit was a successful and important first step towards reaching our goals of increasing awareness and raising funding to detect lung cancer at its earliest and most treatable stages.
